Lord, throughout this day I may encounter conflicts that challenge my serenity. I ask that you help me be mindful of my goals to be true to myself, to the other, and to the task at hand. Give me your divine protection as I stand for your truth. Give me the desire to speak with both courage and consideration. I ask for your peace that grounds me in your will. -The Jesuit Prayer TeamPlease share the Good Word with your friends!
May grace and peace be yours in full measure through your knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord. (2 Peter 1: 2)
The biblical idea of peace is not so much the absence of war as it is the presence of a right relationship with God. We sometimes forget that peace begins in the human soul. A Chinese proverb explains why: “If there is right in the soul, there will be beauty in the person. If there is beauty in the person, there will be harmony in the home. If there is harmony in the home, there will be order in the nation. If there is order in the nation, there will be peace in the world.”
How has my relationship with God changed over the past year? What has been a major factor in producing the change? Why? “Acquire inward peace, and a multitude around you will find their salvation.” Saint Seraphim

May grace and peace be yours in abundance in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.
His divine power has given us everything needed for life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.
Thus he has given us, through these things, his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may escape from the corruption that is in the world because of lust, and may become participants of the divine nature.
For this very reason, you must make every effort to support your faith with goodness, and goodness with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with endurance, and endurance with godliness, and godliness with mutual affection, and mutual affection with love.
